Scooter Roo Tours – Agnes Water, QLD, Australia, Spring 2016

We got on the wrong bus after getting off the greyhound (1770 backpackers) easy mistake to make when you get off a 6 hour bus but thankfully Matt came to our rescue, he is very good at his job, the friendliest person we have met so far working in a hostel always happy to help and full of information!

I had the best time. I started off to a rocky start, managing to throw myself into a fence on the training track whilst everyone else sailed around fine. Matt was really helpful and reassuring and told me that it was actually easier on the road than the track. He had a lot of faith in me and all the staff were so encouraging which was great as I think I would have backed out by otherwise. On the road I followed Matt for reassurance and really enjoyed it. Everyone constantly checked if I was okay and I had a great time. Best day being a biker, even if I did come out with a few grazes!

Had such a good time on the scooterroo tour. Did not expect it to be as good as it was. Smiled the whole time. The training was on point. The guys running it were awesome, and it wouldn’t of been the same without the lead man himself Matt..If anyone’s going to 1770 deffo put this on your to-do list 🙂

Had an amazing trip out with Matt and the other two guys we had as guides. The team were great fun, made me feel safe and I had an overall brilliant ride around 1770 and ate tasty wedges too! Definitely recommend!

I was nervous at first but Matt really made an effort to make me feel comfortable and confident. The tour was great, 100% recommend!

If you are travelling the east coast then Scooteroo is a must. You would simply be missing out if you dont do it. The staff where great especially Matt who guided the tour, my girlfriend was quite worried about driving the bikes but he put her at ease very well and made her feel confident. We had a great tour and really enjoyed the day.

“Two nights and Scooteroo”

The Scooteroo tour itself was amazing fun the guys that showed us to use the bikes where really helpfull and Matt who lead the tour was great, he has an actual degree in travel and tourism and is an official tour guide which really showed and it set the tour apart from the standard half-trained backpacker lead tours.

Overall a fantastic experience that I would highly recommended!

“North York Moors Tour – A Splendid day out” 

My sister and I took the North York Moors tour from York, led by our knowledgeable and entertaining guide Matt. We spent the entire day exploring not only the wild and haunting landscape of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, but also took the time to visit some of the lovely towns and villages in the area. Hutton-Le-Hole, Helmsley, Goathland and Lealholm all got a look in. We saw glorious purple heather and breathtaking vistas, recalcitrant sheep and pheasants in the roads, ruined Norman castles and abbeys, and steam trains of the North York Moors Railway as they fetched up at Pickering and Hogsmeade…er, Goathland stations.

Matt was an informative and friendly guide and made our day out that much more special with his warm and funny presence. Did we see ‘England’s Best View’ that day? Mayyyybe!! You’ll have to sign up for the trip and find out!

I was very impressed with this company’s policy of providing the best customer experience possible, and this was certainly put to the test when my husband and I ended up being the only two people who arrived on a rainy September day for the Yorkshire Dales tour. We were given the option of postponing the tour if we wanted to try for a sunny day, but we were assured that the company was more than happy to conduct the tour with just two people on board. As my husband and I were leaving York the following day, we didn’t have the option of postponing, so we went ahead with the day, keen to see the Dales.

Our driver/guide Matthew was absolutely top class and his knowledge of the area and its history was truly impressive. His passion for the job, and enthusiasm for life, combined with his excellent communication skills and easy going nature resulted in us both feeling instantly comfortable and relaxed in his company. Matthew asked us about what we had and hadn’t seen in the area, and we talked about our wish list, and before long the amazing Matthew had created a special tailor-made itinerary, taking in far more than we had ever dreamed of seeing in one day. Matthew was extremely obliging to any of our suggestions, he was considerate, friendly, talkative, amusing, interesting and honest. He produced one of the best personal tours we could have hoped for, and he was much more than the perfect tour guide. Thanks Matthew, if we could give you a rating higher than 5, we would gladly do so.
